The owner of a rare 1968 Mini Cooper worth more than £6,000 has been left heartbroken after it was stolen and burned out.

The car, white with a black roof, was taken from a car park at Otter Mill Switchgear in Ottery St Mary.

It was found on fire near Frome in Somerset on May 31.

A police spokesman said: “This is heartbreaking for the owner as this car was his pride and joy.”
