Hulham Road in Exmouth has been reopened tonight after being closed due to a gas alert. Police attended and the road was closed at its junction with Exeter Road after concerns about a gas leak. The road remained closed overnight and this morning, with traffic diverted along Exeter Road and Seymour Road, but has now been reopened.

An unusual story popped up in the Exmouth Journal on page 7 this week – the suggestion that a “sex bus” run by two prostitutes called Roxy and Ronnie may be stopping off in the Exmouth area on a tour of the Westcountry.
Exmouth’s local radio station Bay FM is aiming to go on the air full-time. The station, which has run a series of successful trial broadcasts, is now applying for a community licence from the Home Office.
Meanwhile it will be broadcasting round the clock from Friday, May 21, to Friday, June 3, from a new studio, to coincide with Exmouth Festival.
The BBC2 auction show Flog it! is holding a valuation day in Exmouth tomorrow (Thursday May 4).
Anyone with interesting antiques or collectibles they want to sell is invited to go along to the Pavilion on the seafront. All will receive a valuation from a team of experts and some will be filmed and put forward for auction in Exeter on June 1.
